The Five Eyes have become The Four Eyes
The Dezinformatsiya Affair - Chapter 7
At long last, Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats resigned from his post in the Trump administration. He then disrupted a meeting his deputy, Sue Gordon, was having to convince her to resign from her post.
Well, she did, and John Brennan (ex-CIA Director) said :
And that's how the Five Eyes became the Four eyes. Putin must be really happy about the results of his little KGB-era games. It beats getting caught cheating at the Olympics, at least.
But wait! He's not finished.
After a barrage of lies, Russia tells Vienna-based Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization that radiation from the blast Is none of their Business.
Pussy Riot's Nadya Tolokonnikova said it best by stating that “The power in my country belongs to idiots, and that's really unfortunate because I know a lot of great and brilliant people in Russia...”
One feels for her. Please watch the video, where you will see that Nadya is a highly intelligent Russian woman, and it shows in this interview.
But now... do you feel stuck between the rock of Putin's nonstop lying and denials, and the hard place of Trump's own lies and his Korrupt Krazy Klown Kabinet?
Want some more lies?
We knew you would. So here's another double scoop serving of fuming hot, self-serving, idiotic lies, fresh and smelly from the other Russia.
Putin's. The one with the state sanctioned organic garbage factories.
The Skripal case was invented to distract from British paedophilia scandals
All high-ranking politicians in the Baltic states are implicated in paedophilia
Tinder is planning to warn its users that Poland is dangerous for the LGBT community
NATO is planning to attack and occupy Turkey
And, of course, the US :
The US controls Al-Qaeda and ISIS/Daesh
The US and NATO are involved in organ trafficking
The US and Anglo-Saxons are promoting a global totalitarian caste system

Putting on the crazy : What recession? I'm God!
....WHERE IS THE FEDERAL RESERVE?— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 21, 2019
Trump's claim of 'hundreds and hundreds of people” about people coming to adore him on his visit to an hospital seems highly suspect, in light of the simple fact that he lies most of the time and routinely inflates numbers that he likes and wants you to believe. Hospitals both in Dayton and El Paso have confirmed that doctors did not leave any patients or operating rooms to meet the president, and victims in the hospital flatly refused to see him.
So? Is Trump nutzo, or what?
Trump cranked the crazy up to eleven, and Bernie Sanders - finally - called Trump an idiot! But there's more at play here than mere idiocy.
There have been historical precedents for mad kings and despots. George III of the United Kingdom and Charles VI of France come to mind, and it's easy to guess that Caligula was also a few peas short of a pod.
So there are four questions that keep coming up in our HUD.
These are :
Has Trump finally gone completely off his rocker?
Is Trump trying to lose the next elections by pretending to be going off his rocker?
Did Trump pull his fake, crazy ambitions to acquire Greenland from Denmark from the same old tired bag of tricks he's used all along, and was it also a play for number 2?
All of the above.
We wouldn't dismiss number 1 (Trump is going off his rocker) out of hand. It really looks like he's going down some exceedingly dark path in his mind, and it seems that only he can see his way forward. This is ample cause for worry since he's, you know, the president of the damn world and he's got nukes!
Number 2 (losing by pretending to be going off his rocker) also seems likely. There's even a precedent for that too in Vincent "Chin" Gigante, nicknamed "The Oddfather", who was boss of the Genovese crime family. He faked insanity for thirty years in order to avoid prosecution. And it's well-known that Trump just loves him some powerful men from the “dark side”.
Yes, number 3 (same old tired bag of tricks) is part and parcel of his old distract - deflect - divide pattern. Experience tells us that this old dog just can't learn new tricks.
Number 4 is all of the above, and in his slowly creeping state of mental confusion, he might still be somewhat dimly aware of his condition and still, reflexively, considering all his options. It wouldn't be the first time that he throws anything and everything against the wall just to see what sticks.
Whatever the case may be, his acceptance of the presidency, out of sheer hubris one might add, turned out to be an extremely virulent, poisoned gift. A poisoned gift that not only put him under the spotlight like he wanted, but also put him under the microscope and exposed him for the crook that he is, and this may very well break him and possibly even expose his children.
Every crooked deal, every theft, every lie, everything he did to make himself richer is now catching up with him. He now knows that his only way out of his own mess is to win another term, and use this victory as justification to either ram through a law that would make him president for life (he already floated that idea), or invent himself a few laws that would give him immunity from any form of prosecution, like, forever. We're sure his Barr boy can swing that. After all, he's his very own Roy Cohn.
He even auditioned for the job!
It reads! More Dezinformatsiya
Here is the security-risk-in-chief's modus operandi: The Big Lie Propaganda Principle, culled from one of the few books or websites that Trump must have read, apart from his collection of Hitler's speeches. Or maybe he also read Mein Kampf.
The more outrageous the lie, the more weight it will carry.
Strongly assert the lie.
Repeat, repeat, repeat.
Massage available data to “prove” the lie as being true.
Reframe their vigorous denial as proof of guilt.
Accuse those about whom you lie of lying about you.
Spread “peremptory lies” to discredit others before they have a chance to defend themselves or accuse you.
Be first to throw the mud; it will stick.
Always accuse, never doubt, never admit to lying or error. Many people remember and continue to believe your false charges because “where there’s smoke, there’s fire.” When presented with proof of falsehood, many people quickly believe the initial lie even more strongly.
Many conspiracy theorists, proud of their own “skepticism,” which is actually “denialism,” accept low-probability unsupported big lies while rejecting high-probability supported facts.
With special thanks to the Daily Kos.
Every item in this list resonates loudly for any Trump watcher. However, there are some standout takeaways from this. The first is that we often noticed that if Trump really wants to embed one of his lies in your mind, he repeats it exactly three times, just like at number three. Our second takeaway is that he always accuses, never doubts, never admits to lying or error, just as in number nine. The last is this quotation that was attributed to Goebbels:
“The truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”
A PSA (Public Service Announcement)
We've talked a lot about Trump' concentration camps, where he stacks South Americans. But now he's trying to abolish a lot of rules that protect immigrants, rules he didn't respect anyway.
But is it torture? Here's the official definition of torture :
Yep! It is torture, no doubt about it. And on top of everything else, as the commander-in-chief, he did order and arrange the infliction of torture upon all those immigrants and their children...
The effect of Trump's war on decency is unbridled police action against American citizens and hopeful immigrants seeking refuge from the terrible problems caused by Trump's cutting of America's subsidies to their respective countries’ governments.
Just one more problem he created from A to Z.
Of course, everybody should know their rights, so here's what do do if confronted by ICE knocking at your door, straight from the ACLU :
Don’t Open the Door
Like police, ICE can’t enter your home without a warrant signed by a judge.
Ask to Speak to a Lawyer
The National Immigration Law Center (NILC) and the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) both advise asking for a lawyer before you speak to ICE.
Remain Silent or Tell ICE You Wish to Do So
As explained by the NILC and ACLU, you have the right to remain silent in any interaction with an ICE agent, and you can tell them so. What you say can be used against you in immigration court or deportation proceedings, so always be cautious of what you say to ICE or law enforcement and ask to speak to a lawyer before any communication takes place.
Don’t Sign Anything
Unless you’ve already spoken to a lawyer who advises it, the NILC and ACLU say you shouldn’t sign any documents ICE asks you to. According to the Miami Herald, signing a document provided by ICE may mean you’re signing your own deportation order.
Don’t Lie or Provide False Documents
ICE doesn’t have a great reputation for honesty, but lying to ICE agents can be dangerous. The IDP boldly warns against lying to immigration enforcement agents, and the ACLU of Texas notes that providing false documents can be used against you in court proceedings.
Don’t Flee or Resist Arrest
If you run from ICE, the results can be deadly, not just legally dangerous. People who help an immigrant escape ICE can be charged with things like obstruction of justice by the Department of Justice, as was the case with a judge who let an immigrant escape after a court hearing. People who attempt to physically stop an arrest can also be charged with resisting a public officer, as a Mennonite minister was in North Carolina, in 2018.
You Don’t Have to Tell Them Where Someone Else Is
According to the IDP, you’re under no obligation to tell ICE where someone they’re looking for is, but you shouldn’t lie. Instead, ask the agents to leave contact information.
You’re Allowed to Ask for an Interpreter
If an immigrant placed under arrest is not an English-speaker, they can ask for an interpreter during their detention process with ICE, according to the ACLU, and as explained in a 2008 New York Times profile of a certified Spanish-language interpreter working in federal courts.
You Should Make a Plan With Family or Loved Ones
In the event you are detained, the Miami Herald says it’s wise to have an action plan in place to handle any immediate concerns like child and pet care, and long-term issues like home maintenance and collecting mail. Attorneys also advise that loved ones have on hand the name and contact information for an attorney so they can make contact in the event of an arrest.
Keep Learning and Building Networks
No one resource can prepare you for every possible ICE raid. But massive compilations of resources that cover workplace considerations, community preparedness, and more are available online from the information service Informed Immigrant and as collaboration projects between immigration groups.
And speaking of problems the security-risk-in-chief created, he told the assembled luminaries at the G7 summit that “I could declare a national emergency” as some kind of misguided way out of the problems he created with China.
Oh! And he totally invented a conciliatory call from China. China said the call simply didn’t happen.
Wanna hear another one?
I woudn’t want to be in his shoes the day that the law hits the fan…
Lastly, the news : a media post-mortem
Sarah Palin was rarely if ever right about anything, but maybe she was in the right by calling the mainstream media the “lamestream media”.
You see, sometimes, NBCNews surprises us. Here's something they published about Trump after the Bloody Weekend shootings, appropriately titled “In tragic self-owns, Trump denounces racism, and calls for immigration reform” :
They were way, way ahead of The New York Times, which is usually this writer's favorite reference. That newspaper of note continued on its apparent policy of treating that president like a President. Their print headline about his response to Bloody Weekend, which read "Trump urges unity vs. racism" was way off base and generated a considerable backlash. The NYT later changed it to read "Assailing hate but not guns".
The NYT admitted the first headline had been a bad one, and let's just all hope that Dean Baquet, the embattled NYT executive editor, took this as a much needed head's up. We find that even this new, replacement headline is too prudent.
As John Shaft would say : “Right on!”
After debunking a Russian lie about Ukrainian space capabilities, Marko Suprun, the very scholarly host of StopFake English, tells us about a charming Ukrainian meme that's been making the rounds :
StopFake is a great Ukrainian resource on YouTube for first hand and weekly up-to-date info on the Russian dezinformatsiya campaign aimed at one of Putin's favorite targets : Ukraine. We don't know what harm those... people at Google, who owns YouTube and is not evil, will do to them. They're still online, today at least, and it is to be wished that they remain so. Please subscribe.
This next belongs in the EUDisinformation category way up there, but it was so funny that we had to stick it here instead.
Russia is the most liberal country, where everyone who isn’t lazy has the opportunity to speak!
News flash, Putin : The Dead Don't Speak! And they’re not lazy, they’re dead!
And while we're at it, my own daughter sent me a photo-cartoon of an exchange Putin was apparently having at the desk of a border patrol officer :
